Kansas City is where AmplifyIM’s rebel hunger for authenticity was born. Following a powerful personal encounter with the Lord in 2003 that rejected superficial, Sunday-only religion, our founder, Aaron Swanger, spent over 20 years in the trenches of the KC prayer movement. This included leading the grueling 12 a.m. to 6 a.m. Nightwatch and serving 16 years on the front lines of inner-city ministry at HopeCityKC, dealing with addiction, homelessness, and poverty. Recently, we returned to the KC studio for an intense 10-day sprint to finish, mix, and master “Wait On The Lord”—our first single since 2020, successfully reviving a project that had been on pause for over a year.

Today, KC serves as our administrative engine where we are actively restructuring backend operations to handle global scaling. Simultaneously, the music tracked here now acts as a “traveling vessel” of encouragement, breaking physical boundaries to reach exhausted workers and commuters in their cars and daily routines.
